Welcome to Shin'etsu! was launched in 2003 as the first English website focused on the area and is still the most popular and informative English portal for the Shin'etsu-kogen area, in particular - Myoko & Lake Nojiri-ko.

Lake Nojiri has long been regarded as one of Japan's best summer retreats and in October 2007 Welcome to Shin'etsu! featured in The News Corporation Travel Section - designating Myokokogen as one of Japan's best ski resorts. Also, in January 2008 Seki Onsen was Japan's only resort represented in the Travel Channel's "Skiers World" series (Episode Five). |
